Fostering and strengthening stronger cultural ties with India, Tamil Nadu has become a key destination for Japanese investment with many companies establishing their presence here, said Muneo Takahashi, Consul-General of Japan in Chennai, at the golden jubilee celebrations of ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI Tamil Nadu Centre. He lauded the ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI Tamil Nadu center for its role in the Japanese language and facilitating cultural appreciation that further bolstered ties between the two countries. 

A series of free events for the public have been planned in Chennai to mark the golden jubilee. A presentation on work experience in a Japanese company will be held on March 10 (10.30-12.30 p.m.) A workshop on the art of origami is planned on the same day from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
