Archaeologists uncovered the remains of a 19th-century quarantine hospital and cemetery drowned in the waters near the Dry Tortugas National Park in the Florida Keys. The hospital on a now-submerged island was used to treat yellow fever victims at the fort between 1890 and 1900. Also discovered was an 1861 headstone from the Fort Jefferson Post Cemetery.
