The India Meteorological Department announced on Friday that October was the warmest in the nation’s capital since 1951.
The IMD reports that in October, the monthly maximum and lowest temperatures over Safdarjung were 35.1°C and 21.2°C, respectively.
In terms of both maximum and lowest temperatures, October 2024 surpasses 1951 as the warmest October over Safdarjung, according to IMD.

Weather experts predict that the temperature will drop after the second week of November.
This October, there was no significant drop in temperature; it was usual. The researchers stated that “higher pollution levels could have resulted from lower temperatures.”
