The sixth certificate programme in Design Thinking and Innovation is now accepting applications through the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi’s Continuing Education Programme (CEP). Until September 13, interested and qualified candidates may submit an application via the official website, iitd.emeritus.org.
On December 28, the 20-week training will begin. There will be over 150 recorded video lectures, over 15 assignments, over 10 short quizzes, two weekly faculty office hours, three live webinars, and one capstone project in this online course.
The course fee is Rs 1 lakh including GST.
The programme is tailored for creative managers, art directors, UX designers, entrepreneurs, innovation and growth consultants, product managers, marketing managers, branding managers, growth managers, R and D managers, rural entrepreneurs, and small and medium enterprises and professionals.
Candidates must hold a graduate degree (10+2+3) or a diploma (10+2+3) from an accredited university in any discipline to be eligible to apply. They should have at least 50% in their classes and a year’s worth of work experience.
The programme consists of 14 modules, including an introduction to human-centered design (HCD), HCD and innovation, context, environment, and users, identifying user needs, ideation, and immersion, storytelling, and visualisation. Other modules include iterative design and sustainability, MVP and NPD, agile design, and data-driven innovation.
On receiving at least 60% in all evaluation components and finishing the capstone project, candidates will receive a completion certificate from IIT Delhi. Participants who don’t get at least 60% or are unable to finish the project will only get a certificate of participation. A human-centered approach to innovation is design thinking. It works to integrate customer needs, technical potential, and corporate success criteria.
