Eligibility Criteria
- Must be in the third/fourth year of a Bachelor’s programme or the second year of a Master’s programme
- Candidates must be in the top 20% of their class
- The field of study must align with the specific project requirements of IIT Bombay faculty
- Applicants must be full-time students during the internship period, with no conflicting coursework
- Part-time internships are not allowed

- Register on the IIT Bombay Research Internship Awards website
- Log in using your newly created username and password
Select the IITB Research Internship Awards 2024-25 from the available options - Submit a Statement of Purpose (500 characters) detailing your interest in research, relevant skills, and how the internship aligns with your academic goals
- Upload required documents, including a certificate from your principal verifying your class rank
- Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before submitting your application
Selection Process:
- Initial screening based on academic performance and achievements
- Consideration of extracurricular involvement, such as participation in Olympiads, Techfest, and similar competitions
- Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend a test or interview. Travel reimbursement (II sleeper class) will be provided for outstation candidates
