Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, in partnership with TimesPro, has launched the new management degree Master’s of Management Studies (MMS), aimed for working executives. Approximately thirty percent of working-class women were enrolled in the program’s last cohort. Eighty individuals have applied to the new MMS class, and forty-four percent of them have five to fifteen years of industry experience.
The inaugural batch comprises professionals hailing from 15 states and spanning approximately 18 sectors, encompassing information technology, banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI), construction and manufacturing, automotive, metallurgy, hospitality, sales and marketing, oil and energy, human resources, operations, among others. The learners were selected through a rigorous screening process, culminating in an interview, ensuring the admission of candidates with exemplary qualifications and potential.
The programme has been contextually designed for working executives and focuses on a case-study approach. The programme endeavours to develop learners’ cross-functional and leadership competencies, enabling them to become adept in business management, financial and technological matters commensurate with the emerging requisites of Industry 4.0. Moreover, the programme seeks to foster strategic insight, an indispensable asset within the business ecosystem.
The programme will be conducted via TimesPro’s Interactive Learning (IL) platform and delivered in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode. Learners shall have the opportunity to participate in a 12-day immersion programme at the institution during the first and sixth semesters. The postgraduate programme offers learners the chance to specialize in modules encompassing economics, communications, finance and accounting, information systems, Strategy, Humanities and Social Sciences. The programme seamlessly integrates a cutting-edge curriculum with real-world case studies, simulations, and interactive learning experiences.
The batch was inaugurated by Prof Himanshu Rai, director, IIM Indore, on the campus. The two-year online MMS programme is a flagship executive education offering of IIM Indore and provides an opportunity for professional advancement among working executives.
