The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) held its 37th convocation on February 20. Students were conferred with degrees, diplomas and certificates.
Over three lakh degrees, diplomas and certificates were conferred by the open university along with meritorious students who were honoured by the Vice President, an official release said.
The convocation was conducted at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU Maidan Garhi Campus. The Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar was the chief guest on the occasion.
While highlighting the role played by IGNOU, Vice President Dhankar said the university was fostering inclusivity in consonance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He also talked about the importance digital infrastructure, advancements in UPI, mobile technology, and initiatives such as DPI, emphasizing the significance of inclusive participation within conferences such as the G20.
