IGNOU Extends Re-registration Deadline for January 2024 Session; Here’s How to Apply

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the re-registration deadline for all open and distant learning (ODL) and online courses for the January 2024 session. The re-registration, which began on December 5, was originally scheduled to expire on January 29, but has now been extended. The revised deadline for application submissions is February 15, 2024.

Who may re-register for IGNOU programs?

The site is available to both Indian and international students. The online gateway for re-registration is for existing students entering their second or third year of a Bachelor’s or Masters degree, as well as those starting a new semester, depending on the program structure.

The extended date for re-registration is February 15, 2024. The deadline without the late charge was January 29, 2024. The late fee is Rs. 200.

How to apply for the IGNOU January 2024 session:

Step 1: Go to the official IGNOU website, https://onlinerr.ignou.ac.in/.
Step 2: From the site, click the ‘new registration’ button.
Step 3: If you have already registered, enter your username and password to log in.
Step 4: Carefully choose courses where the choice is available.
Step 5: Fill out all of the essential information and make the online payment.
Step 6: Fill out the form and save the page for future reference.

Online payment precautions for re-registration. When making an online transaction, use cautious. Do not disclose your card information or OTP with anyone.

Candidates should use their own credit card or net banking to make payments. UPI, including the BHIM App, is a secure payment method. If your online payment is not updated, please wait a day and check the payment status before making another payment.

Refund process: If double payment occurs for the same application, one payment will be refunded.

For those utilizing third-party services, make sure to pick the relevant course and pay the appropriate fees. Take a printout of the submitted form and payment confirmation.

If applicants are having trouble registering, they can contact the regional center for help resetting their accounts or altering their email addresses/mobile numbers.
