The winners of the 2024 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne were revealed on Friday. The list was posted by the official IFFM account on X (formerly Twitter).
The Best Actor prize at IFFM 2024 went to Kartik Aaryan for his role in Chandu Champion, while the Best Film honor went to Vikrant Massey’s film 12th Fail. Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, won the Best Film Critics’ Choice Award.
The Equality in Cinema award went to Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. Music composer AR Rahman was recognized with an Excellence in Cinema award, while Telugu actor Ram Charan was named an Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture.
IFFM 2024 began on August 15 with a number of Indian films, web programs, actors, and directors taking part. Kartik Aaryan, Imtiaz Ali, Karan Johar, Kabir Khan, Shoojit Sircar, and others attended the inaugural press conference to start IFFM 2024. The festival will celebrate Indian films from August 15 to August 25.
