ICSSR Invites Research Proposals for Social Sciences 2024-25

The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) is now accepting project proposals from Indian researchers in the fields of Social and Human Sciences for the 2024-25 academic year.

This is an outstanding opportunity for researchers of all career stages—young, mid-career, and senior—to participate in meaningful studies. Interested candidates can apply online via the ICSSR’s official website.

Key objectives

  • Promote National Development: Support research in Social and Human Sciences that contributes to national development and helps achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing evidence-based insights and practical solutions to contemporary challenges
  • Encourage Multidisciplinary Approaches: Foster multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary research across diverse domains within Social and Human Sciences
  • Innovate Methodological Approaches: Support research aimed at developing new theoretical and methodological frameworks in the Social and Human Sciences
  • Empower Social Scientists: Encourage young, mid-career, and senior social scientists to conduct research in sectors identified by the ICSSR, aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 framework
