Shahrukh Khan, popularly known as ‘The King of Khans’ is all set to return to the silver screen in 2023 with three back-to-back releases. He went to oblivion with his last appearance, titled ‘Zero’ in 2018 with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Although, he was seen in two of his cameos in 2022 titled ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ and ‘Brahmastra’ but his large fan-following wanted to see him in lead roles once again. He fulfilled their intense desire and is soon to appear in three leads of films named ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawaan’, and ‘Dunki’.

Pathaan, a crime-drama starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham is directed by ‘War’ director Siddharth Anand. Khan will be seen as a raw agent and is scheduled to be released on January 25, 2023, after certain changes suggested by the Censor Board.
‘Pathaan’ has already been dragged into numerous controversies, due to the lyrics of the song ‘Besharam Rang’ and also the saffron-coloured outfit donned by Deepika in it.
According to trade analysts Tarun Aadarsh and Ramesh Bala, ‘Pathaan’ has everything to make the film a super-hit on the ticket window. Both of them agree that Khan’s Euphoria is still huge and unchallenged.

Khan’s second release in 2023 is entitled ‘Jawaan’ and is directed and written by Atlee Kumar. The bi-lingual film will be released in Hindi and Tamil languages with again Deepika Padukone in the lead role. Besides them, the film also features South actors Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani, and Bollywood’s Dangal famed Sanya Malhotra.
The bilingual film is an action-thriller film with its plot revolving around a train hijacking and features Khan in a double role. Cine-goers are eagerly waiting for its release to have a double dose of Khan.
Shahrukh’s fate will also depend on this year’s third release, which is Sanju’s famed veteran director Rajkumar Hirani. Hirani tweeted that – ” Extremely thrilled to announce #. Dunki, coming next Christmas, with its release date on December 22, 2023. Alongside Shahrukh, Tapsee Pannu and Boman Irani will also be a part of the film, which reportedly is a light-hearted comedy-drama.
