Today there was a lot of rain in Delhi, especially at Pragati Maidan, which is the site of the 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit. The national capital and surrounding areas will continue to see mild to moderate rain and thunderstorms, according to the weather service. According to the IMD, Delhi experienced a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 24 degrees Celsius over the previous 24 hours.
Images from Bharat Mandapam, the venue for the massive G20 Summit, showed torrential rain lashing the structure. Authorities are having trouble because of waterlogging caused by the national capital’s heavy rain.
Safdarjung, the airport, Rajghat, Vasant Kunj, Munirka, Narela, and other regions of Delhi had light precipitation on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
“Light to moderate intensity rain with thunderstorm moderate intensity rain over few places would continue to occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR ( Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh),” IMD shared in a post on social media platform, X.
