Haryana Schools Shifts To Hybrid Mode

On Wednesday night, the Haryana School Education Department asked all government and private schools in Gurugram and Faridabad to switch to hybrid mode for all classes except 10 and 12 till December 21, 2024.

Beginning today, December 19, 2024, all schools in both districts will operate in hybrid mode.

“To address severe air pollution under Stage-IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), higher education institutions in Haryana Gurugram district are directed to adopt a hybrid mode of classes (physical + online) until 21st December 2024,” DC Gurugram said in a post on X.

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has issued a directive allowing students and guardians to choose online classes when feasible, in line with the Commission’s directive to mitigate health risks due to rising AQI levels. Institutions are urged to implement additional emergency measures to protect students and staff.

The order states that all actions under Stage IV of the latest GRAP Schedule, issued by the Commission, must be implemented immediately by all agencies in the entire NCR. Heads of Schools in Faridabad and Gurugram district are directed to conduct classes for children up to Class IX and XI in a Hybrid Mode, both in physical and online mode, until further orders. School authorities are urged to share this information with students’ parents and guardians.
