This strategic plan focuses on both production and charging infrastructure, with the goal of strengthening and broadening the electric car ecosystem.
With a particular focus on improving public transportation, the government intends to encourage the widespread use of electric buses.
This will be assisted by the deployment of a payment security system, which will boost confidence among e-bus operators.
The plan is expected to revitalize the public transportation network while encouraging an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient form of transport.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has adopted the vision of making the country carbon neutral by 2070. Keeping this in mind, the government is committed to promoting clean and environment-friendly vehicles in the country. Ministry of Heavy Industries and the Automobile Industry are ready to play their role in this direction.
