Global Condolences Pour in After Hathras Stampede Claims 121 Lives  

The tragic stampede at a ‘satsang’ in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, has claimed the lives of at least 121 people, including 113 women, seven children, and one man. Another 28 individuals were injured in the incident near Phulrai village in the Sikandrarau area, where thousands had gathered for an event hosted by religious preacher Bhole Baba.


UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has promised strict punishment for those responsible, and an FIR has been registered in connection with the incident.

Foreign diplomats from various countries have expressed their condolences over the loss of lives:
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, described the incident as “heartbreaking” and expressed deep sadness, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

China’s Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, conveyed shock and sorrow over the tragic events, extending heartfelt sympathies to the victims’ families and hoping for the swift recovery of the injured.

British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, expressed shock and offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected.

French Ambassador Thierry Mathou shared his deep sadness over the Hathras stampede, expressing condolences for the lives lost.

German Ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic events, extending condolences to the families who lost loved ones and hoping for swift assistance to the injured.

Australian envoy to India, Philip Green, expressed sympathy, saying, “My heart goes out to all of those affected by the tragic incident in #Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. Om Shanti.”
