Delhi University (DU) has announced a fee hike for corrections in degree certificates and marksheets, according to an official order. The charges have been doubled based on recommendations from a committee formed by Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh.
As per the new structure, the fee for correcting a marksheet within six years of graduation has increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000, and for corrections after six years, it has risen from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000. Similarly, for degree certificate corrections within six years, the fee is now Rs 1,000, and for corrections after six years, it is Rs 2,000.
A senior DU official mentioned that the fee revision was necessary as it had not been updated for a long time. However, the charges for issuing duplicate marksheets and degree certificates remain unchanged at Rs 500 and Rs 1,000, respectively.
