The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh is the top medical institution in Uttarakhand. According to the Education Ministry’s 2023 National Institutional Ranking Framework medical college rankings, it is ranked 22nd.
The NIRF medical college rankings for 2023 show that AIIMS Rishikesh is now ranked higher. In the NIRF 2022 medical rankings, AIIMS Rishikesh was ranked 48th; however, in the NIRF 2023 medical rankings, it is ranked 22nd.
According to the NIRF 2023 rankings, AIIMS Rishikesh is ranked 86th overall.
Academic programs offered at AIIMS Rishikesh include MBBS, diploma and PG diploma or certificate, MD/MS, PhD, MDS, DM, MCh, PDCC, fellowship, MPhil, certificate course, diploma, and other courses.
In 2012, AIIMS Rishikesh was founded. Anaesthesiology, anatomy, biochemistry, burns and plastic surgery, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, emergency medicine, endocrinology, nuclear medicine, and orthopaedics are among its more than forty-five departments.
For admission to other medical colleges in Uttarakhand, such as Government Medical College Haldwani, Government Doon Medical College Dehradun, and Uttaranchal Dental and Medical Research Institute, the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University conducts the NEET UG counselling.
