In the wake of the unfortunate demise of three cheetahs and their cubs at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park within a span of three months, Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav addressed the matter, taking responsibility for the tragic incidents. While acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Yadav remained resolute in his belief that the translocation project would ultimately emerge as a “major success.”

Yadav expressed deep concern over the loss of three cubs, attributing their untimely deaths to the sweltering heatwave that plagued the region, with temperatures soaring to a scorching 47°C.
