Actor Gaurav Khanna, who recently won the debut season of Sony TV’s Celebrity MasterChef, has finally addressed past accusations of copying a dessert by Swiss chef Dives Josh. Speaking on Siddharth Kannan's podcast, Gaurav explained that he draws inspiration from things he admires—much like actors Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Raj Kapoor, who were known to emulate legends before them. “Does that reduce their worth?” he asked, adding that criticism is inevitable.

Gaurav praised chef Vikas Khanna for standing by him during the controversy, saying, “When Dronacharya himself has spoken, why should Arjun?” The dish in question, the "Honey Dripping Dessert," had sparked online trolling, but Vikas defended Gaurav, calling his work a rare display of “culinary greatness.” Even the Swiss chef responded playfully on Instagram, writing, “Well done, so creative…”
