Elon Musk Livestreams From Mexico Border To Give “Unfiltered” View Of US Migrant Crisis

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur, visited the southern border in Texas, USA, near Mexico, to provide an “unfiltered” view of the ongoing migrant crisis. He was joined by Texas Representative Tony Gonzales during his visit to Eagle Pass, a city that recently declared a state of emergency due to a significant influx of migrants.

Musk, known for his involvement in companies like SpaceX, Tesla, and X.com, live-streamed his visit on his social media platform. In the video, Musk, wearing a cowboy hat and aviator sunglasses, stated his intention to speak with officials and assess the situation firsthand to get an accurate understanding of the crisis.

He emphasized that the live-stream offered a real-time and unfiltered perspective of the situation. Musk expressed his pro-immigration stance, emphasizing the importance of expanded legal immigration for hardworking and honest individuals who contribute positively to the economy. He also acknowledged that not everyone entering the country falls into this category, suggesting there are some extreme cases.

Elon Musk discussed the situation in New York, where a large number of migrants have entered, leading to strain on social services. He expressed concern about the strain on social services and infrastructure in the face of such immigration levels.

During the live-stream, there were technical issues that briefly interrupted the broadcast, prompting Elon Musk to wonder if he was still live-streaming. He also mentioned the need for better network connectivity, suggesting that Starlink, one of his projects, could be helpful in such situations.
