DU, JNU Adopt Online Classes: Here’s What Students Need to Know

Due to poor air quality, Delhi University (DU) has stated that all sessions would be held online till November 23. Similarly, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will transition to online learning till November 22. These precautions are being taken to protect the health and safety of students and faculty in the midst of the capital’s severe air pollution.

Delhi University has declared that normal physical sessions will resume on November 25. In a separate announcement, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) announced that online sessions will continue till November 22. However, both universities stressed that exam and interview timetables will remain unchanged.

The Delhi government has declared the worsening air quality a “medical emergency” and urged institutions to adopt preventive measures to safeguard public health.

Poor weather conditions and stubble burning have been the primary contributors to the city’s deteriorating air quality. Many schools and colleges in the region have already transitioned to online classes in response to the hazardous pollution levels.
