The Ministry of Communications’ Department of Telecommunications (DoT) warns residents to be wary of fraudulent inbound calls from overseas numbers claiming to disrupt India’s stock exchanges and trade.
Such malicious calls are made by anti-national groups in order to cause panic.
The Department of Transportation has urged all telecom service providers to prevent fraudulent calls from such numbers.
Citizens who get such calls are urged to contact the Department of Transportation at help-sancharsaathi[at]gov[dot]in or their telecom service providers.
