Diljit Dosanjh Receives Notice on Music Content Before Hyderabad Show

The Telangana government has warned the organizers of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s performance in Hyderabad on Friday that songs that encourage drug use, alcohol use, and violence are not allowed to be performed at the event.

Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour, which visited ten Indian cities, including his performance at Hyderabad. The notification was given by the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens, Rangareddy’s District Welfare Officer after receiving a complaint from a Chandigarh resident.

The notice prohibits Diljit Dosanjh from performing live in Cyberabad on November 15 by singing songs that encourage violence, drugs, and alcohol. The singer’s use of minors on stage during his performance was also prohibited by the notice. The notification also stated that children are at risk from loud noises and bright lights during the performance.

The notification said that Diljit Dosanjh had previously performed live at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi last month, singing songs that promoted drugs, alcohol, and violence, according to the representation, which was supported by video evidence.

A video shared on Diljit’s social media accounts, meanwhile, suggested that the singer arrived in the city and went to the famed Charminar. He also prayed at the city’s Gurudwara and temple.
