Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the Institute of Health Science (IHS) has been granted autonomy, allowing it to administer its own academic and administrative operations.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) granted the IHS autonomous college status under a special category, according to Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Pradhan visited many facilities at the IHS, including model centers for disabled children, an Integrated Rehabilitation Centre, Clinic Club, Academic Block, and Balmukunda Rehab Hospital. He dealt with physically handicapped youngsters as well as teachers.
Pradhan complimented the supportive learning environment that has allowed kids with disabilities to receive great education as well as access to a variety of health services and therapeutic approaches. He praised the kids’ attempts to integrate into mainstream society.
Pradhan stated that the institute will create its own curriculum and education system, as well as issue its own credentials. He emphasized that students from Odia scholar backgrounds had studied at the institute, demonstrating their familiarity and sensitivity to its learning approach. Pradhan stated that it is the obligation of the institute to make the learning system accessible and fulfill the students’ social fundamental needs.
