The Delhi Police issued a traffic advise ahead of the India International Trade Fair (IITF), which will be held from November 14 to 27 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The event, which is projected to draw around 60,000 visitors every day—up to 1.5 lakh on weekends and holidays—will cause major traffic in the neighboring districts.
Traffic congestion is expected on Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, Shershah Road, and Purana Quila Road. Non-attendees should avoid these routes for a smoother travel.
The first five days (November 14–18) will be reserved for business visitors, while the general public can visit from November 19 between 9:30 am and 7:30 pm. Access will be restricted at Gate numbers 5-A, 5-B, 7, 8, and 9. Visitors should use Gate numbers 1, 4, 6, and 10, while exhibitors have entry access through Gates 1, 4, 5-B, and 10. Media can enter through Gate 5-B, and ITPO officials through Gates 1 and 9. Entry will be closed after 5:30 pm daily.
India International Trade Fair tickets are available online and at select metro stations, excluding the Supreme Court Metro Station. Drop-offs for vehicles, taxis, and autos should use service lanes in front of Gate 3 and 7, as well as basement parking entry points. Early entry closures may be implemented for public safety. Parking on Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Shershah Road, Purana Quila Road, Bhagwan Dass Road, and Tilak Marg is strictly prohibited, and vehicles parked in these areas will be towed to the National Stadium parking lot at Gate 5 and fined.
Delhi Police encourages public transport for travel to Pragati Maidan, with Delhi Metro passengers alighting at Supreme Court Metro Station for Gate 10 or using a shuttle service to enter via Gates 4 and 6. Parking facilities are available at multiple locations, including Basement Parking No. 1, Bhairon Mandir Parking, and the Delhi Zoo parking area. Visitors are advised to use the foot-over bridge due to heavy pedestrian traffic on Mathura Road.
