The Delhi Metro has issued a warning for commuters ahead of the high-level G20 Summit, which is slated to take place this week at the expansive Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The Delhi Metro Police has announced that from September 8 to September 10, some crucial stations’ entry and exit gates will be kept closed.
Although certain stations may only have one or two gates open at this time, other routes will continue to run as usual, according to the police.
The Delhi Police metro unit asked the Chief Security Commissioner to close some metro station gates that open towards the VVIPS Route/venue of the Summit/Place from September 8 to 10 in order to maintain foolproof security arrangements during the G20 Summit, scheduled to be held in Delhi from September 9 to 10.
