The MCD cleared 18 acres of land in February with 131 demolition measures, 35 sealing actions, and ten actions against unlawful plotting/colonization, according to the statement.
“More such stringent actions are already in the pipeline for the execution of demolition actions in the coming days. These actions have been taken in areas such as Dera, Mandi, Bhati, Chatterpur, Jonapur, Jaitpur, Mithapur, Burari, Narela, Bhalaswa, Kadipur, Alipur, Jeendpur, Bhorgarh etc,” the statement said.
It also highlighted that in January 2024, the MCD undertook as many as 495 demolition actions, 137 sealing actions, and 69 actions against illegal plotting/colonisation to get 125 acres of land free from illegal construction.
