Former chief secretary Niranjan Arya is running for the Sojat (SC) seat in the Rajasthan assembly elections on November 25th, according to the Congress’s second list of 43 candidates, which was revealed on Sunday. Khajuwala (Scheduled Caste) and Bikaner West are the home districts of state ministers Govind Ram Meghwal and BD Kalla, respectively.
Rajendra Singh Yadav, the state minister for higher education, was nominated for the Kotputli seat.
Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister, is thought to be close to all three of the ministers.
For the Rajasthan elections, the party has announced 76 candidates thus far. On Saturday, the first list of 33 candidates was made public.
The 200-member assembly will hold elections on November 25 and declare the results on December 3.
On the strength of its efforts over the last five years and with the assistance of the social initiatives that the Ashok Gehlot government has introduced, the Congress is looking to hold onto power.
