The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has implemented a changed posting policy for its non-gazetted officers, which will affect over 98% of its workforce. KC Samantaray, the Force’s Inspector General, stated that this new policy will apply to the bulk of the sanctioned strength of 1,94,053 personnel during the course of their 38-year service.
Samantaray stated that the revamped framework, which replaces the 2017 policy, intends to provide staff with current knowledge, technology, and skills in order to successfully meet emerging security threats. Simultaneously, the policy focuses on enhancing work-life balance by accommodating personal requirements throughout officers’ careers, boosting motivation and overall well-being within the force.
The CISF has announced a new policy for non-gazetted officers, covering nearly 38 years of service. The policy aims to assist officers in planning their personal and family needs, including children’s education.
Posting orders for retirees will be issued by December 31, followed by women officers by January 15, couples by January 31, and remaining officers by February 15. The policy is part of a broader initiative to improve work-life balance and operational efficiency, while addressing emerging security challenges.
The policy is designed to motivate personnel, enhance their capabilities to meet threats, and ensure better work-life balance throughout their service period. This initiative reflects the CISF’s commitment to modernizing its workforce and adapting to dynamic security demands.
