Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos made a special visit to India, attending the screening of Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies.” After the film event in Mumbai, Sarandos headed to Hyderabad, where he had the pleasure of meeting Tollywood icons Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. Viral photos from the encounter showcase the father-son duo dressed in sleek all-black outfits, seated on a sofa alongside Ted Sarandos. One snapshot captures the trio sharing a light-hearted moment, with Sarandos seen sipping a beverage.
However, the Netflix CEO’s visit to Hyderabad extended beyond the Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan meet-up. Sarandos and his team also had the opportunity to enjoy lunch at the residence of Jr NTR.
Jr NTR shared glimpses of the afternoon on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, featuring handshakes and selfies with Ted Sarandos. Expressing his delight, Jr NTR wrote, “It was such a pleasure hosting you and your team for lunch, Ted Sarandos. Enjoyed our conversation and the afternoon spent together indulging in our love for movies and food.”
While the specific reason for Ted Sarandos’ visit to Hyderabad remains undisclosed, speculation arises considering the success of the film “RRR,” in which both Ram Charan and Jr NTR played leading roles. “RRR” not only performed exceptionally well at the global box office but also earned an Oscar for Best Original Song for its track “Naatu Naatu.”
