For the second time, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for submitting registration information for students taking the 2023–24 board exams. November 10 is the deadline for students in Classes 9 and 11 to turn in their registration information without incurring late fines. Previously, October 25 was the deadline for schools to turn in registration information for CBSE students in Classes 9 and 11.
Additionally, CBSE will permit schools to turn in registration information between November 11 and November 18, if late fees are paid.
CBSE announcing the extension of the deadline said, “Considering various representations received from schools, the schedule for submission of registration data of Class 9, 11, 2023-24 has been extended.”
Earlier, principals and schools were instructed to make sure that no legitimate student’s name was left unregistered and that the children being sponsored were their own regular, bona fide pupils exclusively. The board further stated that no student should attend any unapproved or unaffiliated schools.
First, all schools have to fill out the OASIS portal with the candidate’s full name, as well as the names of their mother, father, and guardian. The board went on to advise against using acronyms since they could cause future issues for the students.
The number of students sponsored by schools must also be proportional to the number of teachers appointed in the school.
