CBSE Class 10, 12 Supplementary Registration Begins: Check Details

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification for the supplementary examinations in both Classes 10 and 12. CBSE has started the registration process today (May 31). Only students who have submitted their names online will be eligible to take the CBSE supplemental examination 2024.

The board indicated that schools are responsible for contacting pupils who must sit for the CBSE supplemental test. CBSE supplementary examinations for both Classes 10 and 12 will commence on July 15.

According to the timetable announced today, the supplementary test for all subjects in Class 12 will be held on a single day, i.e. July 15, while the Board will announce the date sheet for Class 10 supplementary exam.

Again, it is important for the schools to inform that candidates if declared pass in Class 10 can improve their performance in the two subjects while for Class 12, it is just one subject. Maximum of three chances are available for a students to pass an examination if placed in the compartment category in the examination.

There are 80 subjects in Class 12 where students can apply for supplementary examination while for Class 10, it is 32 subjects.

For the CBSE supplementary exam, students in India have to pay a fee of Rs 300 per subject, while for late fees students have to pay Rs 2000 as a fine in addition to the fee prescribed. Students in Nepal have to pay Rs 1000 per subject on the other hand for foreign students studying in CBSE affiliated schools, the supplementary exam fee is Rs 2000 per subject. Visually impaired students are exempted from exam fees.

The payment of the examination fee can be done through credit card, debit card, NEFT, and RTGS for Indian students, while for foreign students they have pay through debit card, credit card and SWIFT.

No request of extension of the date due to any reason will be considered. The dates to download the admit card will be announced separately by the CBSE. In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, schools have to contact with the concerned regional office of the Board.

A consolidated mark sheet will be issued only to students whose results are declared as ‘compartment’ in the board examination 2024.
