The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a statement outlining rules for ensuring timely completion of practical examinations/internal assessments and project assessments for the 2025 Board exams. The practical tests / internal evaluations for the session 2024-25 are set to begin on January 1, 2025.
Guidelines for schools:
Schools must guarantee that the syllabus for practical examinations is finished on schedule.
The schools shall guarantee that all relevant arrangements, such as laboratory preparation and stocking, as well as the identification of internal examiners, are completed on time.
The schools will ensure that all students and parents are notified of the date-sheet for practical examinations so that appropriate action may be taken.
A sufficient quantity of practical answer booklets should be received in schools prior to the actual day of the practical tests.
Practical exams for class 12 will be performed only by external examiners appointed by the Board.
Students participating in National/International/Sports must schedule their practicals so that they may be completed alongside other students.
The school principal must ensure that the right grades are sent to the link, since once published, the marks are considered final and no changes will be made. The Board has also changed the practical answer book so that both the internal and external examiners would submit an assurance for awarding and uploading proper marks.
Guidelines for students:
The students/parents should be aware of the syllabus and the subjects in which practical examinations are to be conducted.
The students should appear in the practical examinations as per schedule as no second chance to appear in the practical exams will be provided by the Board.
