A soldier who vanished while on duty near the border between China and India has been found safely after three days of being buried by snow in an exciting rescue mission.

Anil Ram, a citizen of Buxar, Bihar, was assigned to an Indo-Tibetan Border Police force that was stationed between Munsyari and Milam for border patrol. Due to the severe snowfall on Thursday, Anil and his porter, Devendra Singh, became lost.

They were stranded in the severe weather and spent the night in the snow in a cave located 84 kilometers from Munsyari. Relentlessly, a search and rescue crew undertook a daring search and rescue mission.

On the third day, after 36 hours of searching, the crew managed to find Anil and Devendra and saved them from the cave. Anil is receiving treatment at an army hospital in Uttarakhand after being admitted.

When his family learned of his rescue, they were relieved. Gandhi Kumar, Anil’s brother, has verified that he is getting medical treatment and will soon be going home.

According to Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shreshth Gunsola, Anil and Devendra are safe because of the efforts of the rescue squad, which found them after trudging through four feet of snow.
