BJP Unveils “Modi Ko Chunte Hain” Campaign Ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

As PM Modi prepares to sound the electoral trumpet for the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the BJP unveiled its new campaign on Thursday, dubbed “Modi ko chunte hain.” The slogan of the campaign song is “Sapne Nahi Haqeeqat Bunte Hai, Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hain ((Not dreams, but (we) weave reality, That’s why everyone chooses Modi)”.

According to the campaign song, Namo was chosen as Prime Minister despite India’s appalling circumstances. Namo fulfilled his word, and the idea of a developed nation came to pass. Namo made the proper decisions and woven truth rather than fiction. The lyric goes on, “That’s why everyone chooses Modi.”

The video ends with the photo of PM Modi lying prostrate in front of the Ram Lalla idol following the pran pratistha on January 22 in Ayodhya’s Ram Temple.

“He considers Bharat his mother and the countrymen as God. He chooses work before name (fame). That’s why everyone (every country) listens to him. Indian women emerged as leaders while corrupt people are scared…he remained close to the grounds but reached the sky (a reference to Chandrayaan)” — the theme song says.

The campaign song also highlighted PM Modi’s initiatives for different groups of people, the accomplishments of the Modi administration’s foreign policy, etc. A different rendition of the same song, “Tabhi toh sab Modi ko chunte,” was released prior to the 2023 state elections.

The BJP released a second campaign song-video featuring PM Modi in December 2023, with the theme “Phir aayega Modi” (Modi will come again).

The campaign kickoff occurs ahead of PM Modi’s rally in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, today, during which he will also unveil projects valued at more than ₹19,100 crore. Prime Minister Modi is holding his first public gathering in Uttar Pradesh following the Ram Temple’s inauguration.

Around the Ram Temple’s dedication, the BJP has scheduled celebrations for two months. “It’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first rally in Uttar Pradesh after Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram in Ayodhya.

The BJP has mobilised its resources for the success of the rally and organised a fortnight-long public contact drive in West U.P. to ensure that people come in strength for the PM’s rally,” Uttar Pradesh BJP president Bhupendra Chaudhary said ahead of PM Modi’s rally.
