BCCI to support Indian athletes in the Paris Olympics

In order to support the Indian athletes traveling to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games, the BCCI would give the IOA Rs 8.5 cr. There will be 117 Indian athletes competing in the major athletic event.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) will get Rs 8.5 crore from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in order to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The financial support for the Indian delegation traveling to Paris for the summer Olympic Games was announced by BCCI President Jay Shah.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) received backing from the BCCI as they want to win Olympic gold for their country. In 2024, 117 Indian athletes will travel to Paris to compete in the Olympics. 

 “I am pleased to declare that the BCCI would provide support to our amazing athletes who will be competing for India in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

For the campaign, we are giving the IOA INR 8.5 Crores. We send our best wishes to every member of our contingent. Make the Indians proud! “Jai Hind!” Jay Shah expressed his hopes for the Indian athletes to succeed and bring honor to the country in a post on ‘X’.

The Indian delegation to the Games consists of 70 male and 47 female participants. With 29 athletes, track and field athletes will be the most represented, followed by shooters with 21 competitors.

India will field almost a 1:1 athlete to support staff ratio for the first time in the history of the Olympics. Along with the contingent, 72 other members of support personnel and 67 coaches will travel to the Olympics in Paris.
