Banks to Close on August 30 and 31 for Raksha Bandhan Holiday

One of the most well-known Hindu holidays, Raksha Bandhan, is observed throughout India and other countries. In some places, banks will be closed on August 30 and 31 in commemoration of Raksha Bandhan, which will be observed this year on August 30.

The holidays are divided up by the RBI into three categories: bank account closure holidays, holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, and holidays involving real-time gross settlement.

Depending on the state, August had a total of 14 bank holidays, including weekends and festivals. Banks will be closed for 16 days in September owing to national and local holidays, including Ganesh Chaturthi and Sri Krishna Janmashtami, according to the RBI schedule.
