On November 1, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will begin accepting applications for the Higher Secondary board exams that will take place in February and March 2024. The council will open online registration for the AHSEC Class 12 test in 2024. You can register on the official website at ahsec.assam.gov.in.
In order to ensure that “no one is left out of the form filling process,” the council has requested the heads of all schools and junior colleges to inform their pupils about the online form filling for the Class 12th test in 2024 during the specified period.
Examinees from government, provincialized, recognised enterprise schools or colleges whose parental income from all sources is Rs. 2,00,000 or less are exempt from paying the exam and centre fees.
The council conducted the Assam Higher Secondary Class 12 board exams in 2023 from February 20 to March 20. However, the practical examination was held from January 25 to February 15. Two shifts—the morning shift (9 am to 12 pm) and the afternoon shift (1:30 pm to 4:30 pm)—were used to administer the tests.
3,42,689 pupils registered to take the AHSEC 2023 Class 12 examination. Over a lakh more students were enrolled in 2023 than there were in 2022. 2,05,625 students took the Class 12th test in total in 2022.
The total pass rate in 2023 for the Arts stream was 70.12%, while it was 79.57% and 84.96% for the Commerce and Science streams, respectively. In the Class 12 Vocational stream, the overall pass rate was 85.61 percent.
