Arshad Warsi, famed for his famous roles in Bollywood, has recently been the subject of controversy. During an interview with Samdish Bhatia, Warsi referred to Prabhas’ role in the film Kalki 2898 AD as a “joker.” This remark did not sit well with Prabhas’ large fan base, who swiftly flocked to social media to voice their outrage. Fans swamped Warsi’s Instagram with obscenities and demands for an apology, calling his remarks disrespectful.
In the podcast, Warsi expressed his dissatisfaction with the film Kalki 2898 AD, which stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone. He showed his disappointment by stating, “Prabhas, I am very upset, but he was like a joker. I wanted to see Mad Max and Mel Gibson over there. What have you made it, I can never understand why they would do such things.” While Warsi lauded Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as “unbelievable,” his harsh statements about Prabhas sparked a significant backlash.
Director Ajay Bhupathi responded with heated words over remarks made by Arshad Warsi against Prabhas for his film Kalki 2898 AD.
“Prabhas is the man who has given everything & will do anything to take Indian Cinema to the world audience, a Pride of our nation. We can see the jealousy on that film, on him in your eyes just because you’ve faded out & no one gives an eye to you. There’s a limit & a way to express our opinion… Seems like you’re the one that you’ve said about him,” the director posted on X criticizing Arshad for his remarks against Prabhas.
