Pax Jolie-Pitt, the 20-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has been involved in a very serious e-bike accident this Monday evening, just about 5 PM on Los Feliz Blvd in Los Angeles.
Riding his e-bike during rush hour, Pax approached a red light and mistakenly rammed into the rear of a car that had come to a halt at the junction. Things only got worse because Pax was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The driver of the car also got out of his vehicle, reportedly to check on Pax, who is in stable condition with hip pain and a possible head injury. Emergency services arrived pretty fast, and Pax was rushed to an L.A. hospital for treatment. Initial updates showed that medics were concerned Pax may have sustained a slight brain bleed, but updates indicate he is in stable condition and may be able to leave the hospital later tonight.
Pax, who is the fourth of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children, has been spotted on several occasions riding a BMX-style e-bike around Los Angeles—very frequently helmet-less. Although California helmet laws vary depending on the type of bicycle, it would seem pretty clear that in this case, a helmet would have probably prevented his injuries.
