Former Indian team captain Virat Kohli is celebrating his 34th birthday today on the eve of India’s final T20 World Cup Super 12 match against Zimbabwe. It seems that the day is not only special for King Kohli but even more special for fans. People across the globe, international cricketers, both current and former are sending birthday wishes to him.

A day before his birthday, Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell dropped a heart-warming message for Kohli on live TV.

Yeah, so tomorrow, I just want to wish a very happy birthday to one of my very good friends, Virat Kohli. Hope you have a great day. I’ll send you a text anyway. Enjoy, mate,” said Maxwell.

Also, a very early wish for Kohli came from Pakistani pacer Shahnawaz Dahani.

Among others who wished him early was South African international and Kohli’s former teammate at Royal Challengers Bangalore, AB De Villers.

Suresh Raina who has played with Kohli in many of the 477 international matches he has represented India in too took to twitter to wish Kohli.

The Virat Kohli Fan Club on Twitter posted an emotional video of the ‘Emperor’ tracing his journey from turning up at the Feroze Shah Kotla to play for Delhi despite losing his father the same day, to where he is today.

Kohli has been in top form in the ongoing tournament, having hit unbeaten half-centuries in three of India's four games so far. He scored match-winning 82 not out against arch-rivals Pakistan, and followed up with knocks of 62 not out and 64 not out against the Netherlands and Bangladesh, respectively. He is also the leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 220 runs so far.
