On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Ukraine launched its largest-ever drone attack on Moscow, killing at least two workers at a meat warehouse, injuring 18, and briefly shutting down Russian airports.

A total of 337 drones were shot down over Russia, including 91 over the Moscow region and 126 over the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces have been retreating.

The attack unfolded as U.S. officials prepared to meet a Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia to promote peace talks.

Kyiv, which has faced multiple large-scale Russian attacks during the war, reported being struck by a ballistic missile and 126 drones on Tuesday. In response, it has frequently launched drone strikes on oil refineries, airfields, and early-warning radar stations in an effort to counter its much larger adversary.

The Russia-Ukraine war is the largest conflict Europe has witnessed since World War II.
