Triple Murder in a Day Triggers Political Row Over Delhi's Law and Order

Delhi witnessed a grim day on Thursday as three separate murders were reported, prompting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to question the BJP-led administration over the capital’s deteriorating law and order situation.

In the first case, a minor road accident escalated into violence in Central Delhi’s Nabi Karim, where a 34-year-old man, Mahendra, was fatally attacked with a screwdriver by two brothers, Lucky and Sagar. The suspects remain at large.

The second incident occurred in Punjabi Basti, where 24-year-old Ashish Anand was stabbed to death. His mother alleged it was a premeditated murder by four to five individuals who had a prior dispute with her son. Two suspects have been arrested, while others are being pursued.

The third murder took place in Seelampur, where 17-year-old Kunal was fatally stabbed. He died during treatment, and police have launched an investigation.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta assured that the culprits would be brought to justice. Meanwhile, AAP leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh criticized the BJP, highlighting the capital’s rising crime and lack of effective policing.
