Saif Ali Khan Reflects on Stabbing Incident, Says Security Now a Necessity

After being stabbed at his Mumbai home in January and undergoing several surgeries, Saif Ali Khan has ramped up his personal and residential security. In a recent interview with ETimes, the actor reflected on the harrowing experience and shared how it has shifted his perspective on safety.

Saif admitted that while he never liked having security around, the situation has made it necessary. “I’ve realized it’s important to lock doors and be vigilant. We have a lot, while many don’t — so we need to be careful and smart about our security,” he said. He added, “I never liked having people constantly around me, but it’s something I’ll have to accept, at least for a while. Maybe I’ve still got a few good films to do, some happy moments with family and friends left... and some charity work too.”

The attack occurred when an intruder broke into his home in an attempted robbery, leaving Saif with injuries near his spine and neck. He was hospitalized for five days and has since enlisted Ronit Roy’s Ace Security and Protection agency for safety.

Meanwhile, Saif will next appear in Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, an action-thriller premiering on Netflix on April 25.
