The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) hosted its 38th Convocation on March 5, 2025, at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU Maidan Garhi Campus.

More than 3 lakh degrees, diplomas, and certificates were bestowed in the convocation to students in their respective programmes. Prof. Uma Kanjilal, Vice-Chancellor IGNOU, stated that IGNOU has not only been successful in its mandate of access but also proven quite triumphant in its skilled development courses, since 65% of India's population is below 35. 

Additionally, with the help of AI, more than 300 courses could be done through IGNOU and that will also be available in regional languages. 

Lastly, one key point to note was that now IGNOU students can take upto 7 years to complete their education in case of any financial or other difficulty.
