Forbes' 2025 list of the top billionaires in the US. India is home to 205 billionaires.
With 902 people on the Forbes Billionaires List 2025, the US continues to be the global hub for billionaires. After adding five more billionaires to its 200 billionaires from the previous year, India has maintained its third-place ranking.
As the world's wealth surged, there were more than 3,000 billionaires this year, with a combined net worth of an incredible $16.1 trillion. Only three countries—the United States, China, and India—account for more than half of the list's population, demonstrating how concentrated wealth is still.
With 902 billionaires—up from 813 the previous year—and a collective net worth of $6.8 trillion, the US leads the list. Thirteen of the fifteen centi-billionaires in the world, including Jeff Bezos ($215 billion), Mark Zuckerberg ($216 billion), and Elon Musk ($342 billion), still call it home. The nation is the clear leader in the number of billionaires and overall net worth due to the continued enormous riches generated by its tech, banking, and entertainment sectors.
With 450 billionaires valued at $1.7 trillion, China comes in second, with Zhang Yiming of ByteDance leading the pack with $65.5 billion.
India, the most populous country in the world, is ranked third with 205 billionaires this year, up from 200 the previous year. With a fortune of $92.5 billion, Mukesh Ambani is the richest man in India. Gautam Adani comes in second with $56.3 billion.
