Bihar's first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will start today, learn about the Jayanagar-Patna route's features.
Bihar's first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (Vande Metro) will begin operating today. Prime Minister Modi will flag it off in Jhanjharpur, Madhubani. Along with this train, the Amrit Bharat Express from Saharsa to Mumbai and two new passenger trains will also be launched. The railway administration has made complete preparations for these services.
This train will travel from Jayanagar to Patna, passing through Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Barauni, Mokama, and Bakhtiyarpur. The train will depart from Jayanagar at 11:40 AM and reach Patna at 6:30 PM. It will complete the journey in just 4 hours 50 minutes, whereas the same journey previously took 6-7 hours.
The train will have 16 air-conditioned coaches, offering modern facilities like Kavach safety system, CCTV, automatic doors, high-speed Wi-Fi, USB charging points, vacuum toilets, and comfortable seats. It will run at a speed of 160 km/h and can carry over 2,000 passengers.
Along with this, the Amrit Bharat Express from Saharsa to Mumbai will also be launched, which will depart from Saharsa at 11:30 PM and reach Mumbai. The launch of these new trains will improve rail travel in Bihar, increasing opportunities for employment, education, and business.
