Amity University Partners with Japan’s Hiroshima University?

Dr. Masakastu Nouguchi, Associate Professor, Biodesign Department, Hiroshima University, Japan, paid a visit to Amity University Uttar Pradesh’s Noida Campus with the goal of exploring collaboration in the fields of cancer research, genome engineering, public health, neurospine, and drug discovery.

Hiroshima University was founded in 1874 as a University of Arts and Sciences and now has over 15000 students on its rolls.

In his address, Dr Masakastu Nouguchi, Associate Professor, Biodesign Department, Hiroshima University, stated, “We would like to collaborate with Amity University so that new research work can be undertaken in different areas of Biotechnology, which will be mutually beneficial for both the institutions. In order to accelerate innovation in the area of biotechnology, it is crucial to work in close collaboration with organizations and researchers, which will be helpful in meeting various societal needs including environmental conservation, green energy, and health.”

Highlighting the rapid increase in cancer patients globally, Dr. B.C Das, Chairman, Amity Institute of Molecular Medicine and Stem Cell Research, said, “Amity is doing some great research in the area of cancer research and drug discovery and by collaborating with Hiroshima University, the research work can be further enhanced through exchange of ideas and knowledge, which will help in the prevention of cancer.”
