Directed by the exceptionally talented Vasan Bala, renowned for his work on ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota,’ ‘Jigra’ marks Alia’s second stint as a producer, following her 2022 hit, ‘Darlings.’ But what makes this announcement even more exhilarating is the fact that she’s joined forces with none other than the maestro of filmmaking himself, Karan Johar. The first glimpse of ‘Jigra’ arrived in the form of a motion poster, featuring an animated Alia standing amidst a rain-soaked road, her head bowed in contemplation. A poignant voiceover in the background hints at the heart of the story, uttering the words, “Dekh, dekh mujhe. Meri rakhi pehenta hai na tu, tu meri protection mein hai. Tujhe main kuch nahi hone dungi, kabhi bhi.” (Look at me, you are wearing my rakhi, you are in my protection. I will not let anything happen to you, ever).
In her heartfelt caption, Alia shared her excitement and apprehension about stepping into the producer’s shoes once again.
