Raid 2, Ajay Devgn’s much anticipated sequel, has finally been given a release date. The producers confirmed on Wednesday that the picture will be released on February 21, 2025. The next film is a sequel to Raid (2018), in which Devgn played IRS officer Amay Patnaik.
It was originally scheduled for release on November 15. “Reviving the action, intensity, and suspense your way! “#Raid2 will be released on February 21, 2025!” T-Series, a Bollywood studio, posted on Instagram.
Raid 2 will honor the ‘unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department’ and tell a genuine story from their books. It will also include Vaani Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor in key parts. Riteish Deshmukh plays the antagonist in the film, which is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also directed the previous installment.
Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak are producing the sequel through their respective production companies, T-Series and Panorama Studios. Raid, which also starred Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz, was based on a real-life raid undertaken by Income Tax Department personnel in 1980s.
